Mission Ministry Team
We organize local mission projects during the year such as the ongoing food collections for The Community Food Pantry, clothing and toiletry collections for Good Shepherd’s Clothes Closet, school supplies and angel tree gift cards for local school children, and meals for the Veterans House in Reno. The congregation also participates in several special offerings through PC(USA), including the Souper Bowl of Caring and The Peace and Global Witness Offering which benefit people across the nation and world. Lenten Program on Zoom–2023
Each Thursday morning during Lent, February 23 through April 6, at 10:30 am, and each Tuesday, February 28 through April 4, at 6:30 p.m. we will gather over Zoom to “try on” a spiritual discipline for a week. I call the program Dim Sum, after the funnest way to learn about Chinese food. The waitress walks through the restaurant with a variety of foods on small plates.
